Alisha never knew she would fall in love with someone in such a madly,deeply way .Only thing she knew was she could do anything for Max.but was Max worth it?
The story starts with those college days, when Alisha was entering the new phase of life.She was excited about the very thought of wearing informals in college,having new friends.She was wearing a chudidaar suit matched with kolhapuri chappals. That very day was special in many terms.Little did she knew she would met someone like Max.Max was a dude,gelled hairs,wearing a white shirt that very day and a blue jeans that complemented him well.every girl gave Max a "wanted"look.while Max was enjoying the attention he saw a girl busy in her own-self managing her duppata ,her hairs which were coming on her face playing with the air.At first Max couldn't see her face but when she managed herself,Max was mesmerized by her khloed eyes,a small bindi on her face created an eagerness in Max to talk to her.But the bell rang .
the class started with everyone's introduction .
"hello sir , I m Alisha" a sweet voice echoed in Max's ears.it was that bindi wali girl.He could have not been more happy as he was to see Alisha sitting in his class.
Now every day Max would make sure he passes by Alisha ,so that she can notice him and he can get a glimpse of her.It was that very lucky day.In the canteen ,on the radio a song was playing
"dil sambhal jaa zara,
phir mohabbat karne chala hai tu,
dil yahin ruk jaa zara
phir mohabbat karne chala hai tu"
Max got the very courage of persuading Alisha .
"hello mam,can i have your minute?"
"yes"
"actually i noticed you the very first day of our college,and i fell in love with you"
Alisha was shocked how could a guy come straight up to her and say i love you.at first she thought he is just making fool of her.
The whole canteen was having a view of this confession,Alisha was feeling very embarrassed .But Max was lost in her eyes , her wavy hairs , he just wanted to say whatever has been in his heart since so many days,he wanted to pour out his heart in front of her.
"Hey i know you must be thinking ,what a stupid guy"
But i have gone crazy about you, your very presence makes me mad,i love you dear"
Alisha ran away from the college canteen and rushed to her class ,as it was khadus lecturer's period.
In the class while studying geometry ,she could feel Max's voice echoing in her ears "I LOVE YOU".When the lecturer asked about drawing a circle and taking out it's circumference ,Alisha was lost in her thoughts.
"get up" the lecturer said
"where;s the circumference of the circle?"
"are you dreaming in my class?"
"no-o-o-o sir" Alisha got self conscious
"get out of my class"
It was the very first time in her life that she was asked to leave the class like this.Alisha was very angry on Max
"It;s all because of that guy, that I got punished , I hate him"
Alisha gave an angry look to Max in the coridoor and passed him away
Max got afraid that may be he will loose her.
he was abusing himself "what was the need of being so senti on hearing that romantic song and straight away proposing to her,you are nuts Max,now may be I can't be even friends with her,shit!"
the whole night Alisha was thinking about Max, the very look that he had on his face while he was proposing her ,she couldn't resist but think about him, she was smiling at his innocence but stopped herself "no, I can't be so stupid , I don't even know him,he seems to be a play boy , no he must be kidding , leave him".
The very next day when Alisha entered the class , her best friend Shanaya gave her a letter "Max asked me to give it to you".
Alisha was shocked "see this shameless guy , now passing letters , that through my best friend,let him go to hell, i will not read this letter".
the whole day passed but Alisha did not read the letter, the whole day she was thinkn "what must be in this letter , should i read it or should I not".At last Alisha thought "padne mein kya jaata hai, I will read it then throw it away"
Alisha heart was pouncing very fastly with every opening fold of the paper
"hi meri white bindi waali,
tum soch rahi hogi kitna pagal ladka hai, poori canteen kae saamne propose kar diya, but main kya karta ,tum us din jab maine tumhe pehle din dekha ,tumhari taraf ek ajeeb sa kheechav mehsus hua ,tumhare bikhre hue baal,tumhari udti hui chunni, it all grasped me, tumhari simplicity ne mera dil chura liya"
Alisha smiled in a shy manner
"mujhe pata hai alisha,tumhe yeh sab acha nahi lag raha hoga ki maine tumhari friend ko isme involve kiya , but i couldn't stop thinking about you, bus har roj tumhare class mein aane ka wait karta hu, jisse tumhe dekh saku,tumhare pyaari si smile dekh saku , i m sry but agar yeh pyaar hai , toh i really love you dear, if your answer is yes, please give your sweet smile once , i promise will never be the reason of your sadness, vl always take you for an icecream,but yaar i really love you"....
Alisha was feeling so much excitement within herself, that she couldn't hide it and screamed "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee"he loves me she said to herself...
Alisha the other day came to college in the same attire she was wearing that very first day of college a white chudidaar suit and a white bindi.
When Max saw her ,he jumped high "yaeeee,yes!yes!"she is wearing that same chudidar , may be she loves me too......
The lecture started , but Max was lost in her,he couldn't take his eyes off her.Alisha's friend Shanaya was teasing her "dekh, dekh, he is staring at you"...Alisha in a slow manner just to not get noticed looked at him , both looked at each other , their eyes met.Alisha gave a smile to Max.
That very moment gave immense pleasure to Max.He waited for Alisha at the college gate, when she was passing through , he said "ALISHA ,can i have a minute with you"
Alisha;s heart was pouncing even more faster now , "yes??" i have a small gift for u ,he took out a rose and said to her"please give this rose the pleasure to be in your hands",Alisha in a hesitant way took it and without saying anything left.that day was special for both of them as they were in love .
who was more in love we can't say , but yaa at this very moment Max was all about Alisha and Alisha was all about Max.
their first kiss was unexpected when Alisha flunked in one of her tests , she was crying like a small baby in Max's arms, to console her and assure her , he will be always their with her in all her good and bad times , Max kissed her .it was that very moment that Alisha got more closer to Max, now she was more dependent upon Max in emotional aspects,she would be childish while in the company of Max.Max too loved it , as he cared about her a lot.He would never say or do anything that would hurt her .It was like they were madly , deeply ,unconditionally in love.
days passed in their love , the nights were shorter now , and the days were more longer .Alisha's family did not knew about her relationship except her elder sister but Max's family knew all about it.they went to every cafe in the town , but their meetings always carried a fresh fragrance , that they had just started dating, but it was 2 years now .
Alisha was now more dependent upon Max in all terms .
"hum tere bin ab reh nahi sakte ,
tere bina kya wajood mera ,
meri ashiqui ab tum hi ho".
it was the graduation day of college,Alisha was waitng for Max
"tring tring"the bell was ringing but there was no reply....Alisha was getting tensed with time ,the party started , but Alisha was still waiting for Max dressed in a red sari and her white bindi.but Max's phone was un answerable.Alisha called at Max's house , his sister attended it
"hello?"
"hi dii"
"is Max there, can i talk to him please "
"what are you saying , don't you know Max went to London this morning"
Alisha was shocked , the phone fell off her hands,she was feeling confused,betrayed,angry at the same moment"why didn't he told me?, does he cared much that he did not tell me even once and left unsaid"
Alisha was all in tears ,she went back to her home closed herself in a room , wept all night , did not answer anyone "leave me alone please for a minute , let me be"her eyes were swelling red , still her tears were not stopping , she had so many questions in her heart.at a moment she wanted to die, but she wanted answers to this all her questions"how can he leave me like this? , had i done something wrong?".Alisha was dialing Max again and again , but now his cell was switched off, she was crying all day.Alisha's elder sister helped her to regain her balance and said to mom"she lost the miss perfect" so she is a lot upset as she practiced hard for it".But Alisha's mother knew something was wrong as Alisha never cried so badly for anything.
It was almost three days Alisha refused to have anything , all she wanted to do was to be left alone and cry.....
soon Alisha stopped socialising, she lost contact from all her friends.Alisha went into depression , now her daily routine included , getting up in the afternoon , having a small breakfast and then taking medicines then taking a small walk visiting the psychiatrist then goin back to her room and locking herself inside...waking up all night remembering those moments she spent with him.2 years went by , but for Alisha time was like stopped at that graduation party...
while one day Alisha was visiting her doctor , her sister was accompanied by Akash , her friend.Akash was a very cheerful, jolly natured guy.He had promised her elder sister she would smile again one day,that beautiful Alisha will be back.Alisha was still all about Max, she had closed all her doors to her heart . Akash spent more and more time at Alisha;s home,he would always try to talk to Alisha in one or the other way and proposed her for friendship.Alisha became good friends with Alisha in a short span of time .But in her heart she always loved Max.She told about Max to Akash "i still miss him a lot, i can;t live without him,please Akash help me, i want to go to him".Though AKASH knew everything about Max , how he left her, he hated Max for this , but as he promised her he would help her.Akash convinced everybody at home "i have to take her to Max , otherwise she will die, she needs him,please i will take care of her , let her have answers to her questions , i promise she will be fine"
"No, how can we send her to London"her mother replied,
"aunty,please for Alisha , or else you will loose your daughter, she is madly in love with that guy,Once she sees his betrayl from her eyes , i will get her back, she will be back, i promise"
"okay beta,take care of her , i trust you,but i need my daughter back , my old Alisha back"her mother was crying badly.
Alisha was so happy and excited by this news that she hugged Akash tightly and gave him thanks for doin so much for her.She couldn't wait but to meet Max , but she was scared too"if he has married , had kids, will I be able to face him?"
In the meanwhile Akash visited Max's house and told everything about Alisha's situation .Max's sister gave the address of their maternal uncle to Akash and said "you can find him here".
Finally the day came , Alisha was wearing the same white chudidaar and a white bindi , she was so excited that she can't wait to reach the airport and land in London.
Akash had never seen her so happy , but he was scared somewhere that what will happen if Alisha comes across Max's betrayal. Will she be ale to handle herself?
In the whole journey , Alisha didn't blink her eyes even for a second, she was watching her watch again and again"when will this long journey end?"
They landed in London, hired a taxi and reached the address , Alisha was never so much happy , she left Akash in the cab while he was paying, and ran to the door to ring the bell.
An old man opened the door .words were not coming out of Alisha's mouth "Is Max here?" Akash asked."No, who are you?".
Alisha got worried and patience-less "WHAT??? I came all the way here and you are saying Max is not here, where have you hidden him"?.
Akash calmed Alisha "have some patience , he is here only, don't worry.let me talk"
"Sir we are from India , we are here to specially meet Max, please help us .where is Max".
"Nobody is allowed to meet him"the old man said ,"i am sorry"
"Sir please, this girl loves him a lot ,she wants to meet him, please".
meanwhile Alisha started crying "i want Max, what has happened to him, is he all right?"
the old man after observing the situation said"ok , i will tell you , take this address and you can meet him"
Alisha ran over to the street with the address to hire a cab, while Akash apologised to the old man for Alisha's behaviour, and they went to the address .
It was a big place away from the city , having tomb like structure buildings painted white, with lilies in the outer garden, it was a hard to imagine a place in such a busy place like London.
It was a center for proper care and mental disease.
Alisha was shocked to imagine Max at such a place , when they entered the building , it was a neat sophisticated, nice building, with nurses in a proper formal dressing.Akash asked the nurse to meet the doctor.They entered the doctor's room , Alisha was getting more and more nervous. Akash inquired about Max " Doctor , do you have a patient named Max?""we are his friends , we wish to meet him".
"Ooh yaa!, he is my patient he is very calm.the doctor said .
Alisha went numb and with all her strength asked "what happened to Max doctor, i wish to see him"
.ohkay , "lets go and meet him , then i will tell you everything", those steps were the hardest steps of Alisha's life as she was scared as well as praying for Max's wellness.They reached a room numbered 502, when doctor opened , there was a man dressed in a white pyjama and a kurta, and he was sketching something. The doctor said here he is "our patient Max"
Alisha's tears were rolling down her cheeks in a very fast manner , she felt helpless and a part of her was dying to see Max in such a situation .the doctor said "he is suffering from Alzheimer, though it happens to old people , but sometimes we find such cases in young people too ".
Akash said"when will he be alright ?".
We can't say anything, he will loose his memory day by day , one day he would even forget how would he eat, but there is something different about this patient , he remembers only one thing that he sketches everyday without fail".
Alisha ran to see what Max was sketching it was Alisha's picture, he was drawing , he could not forget her"
Alisha was all in tears , he hugged Max tightly, kissed him on his cheeks, forehead.and promised"i will never let you go away from me".
"Max left India cause he came to know about his disease after undergoing certain tests, and he didn't want to hurt you, so he left unsaid"Max's sister told Alisha.
Later on Alisha decided to stay with Max, never to leave him again , she took care of him , got him home in London and married him on papers with only one promise to never leave him again and nurture him with her love.
After 2 years Max showed some improvement as he remembered Alisha;s name .But life was never too easy, after that the improvement was rare .after long 3 years , Alisha had a baby girl with Max. and they lived in the small gestures of happiness that life gave them , their togetherness.........
