We usually take life for granted. Acha aaj nahi karte , kal kar lenge. It is our favourite dialogue of all the time. Jabki hume pata h, abhi nahi toh kabhi nahi. We may call it our laziness, dependence over tomorrow or a way to run away from things. But the truth is today, now ,present what we have in our mind.
In our childhood we were so enthusiastic that we usually ended up pleasing ourselves with candies, raja rani, aampachan, balloons, water colors. But today our only ambition is or we may say our way to prove ourselves in this stereotypical Indian society is to compete and run like wild horses who have just been freed from a prison.
But have we stopped for a second and thought what we have been missing all this time when we were running like wild horses?.......We have been missing LIFE....It;s tenderness ,those small precious moments, that smile when we saw the kids playing in the park, our close relationships, our friends, our families..But this so called world has taught has to belittle love.Whatever form it takes art, poetry, painting, spending time with family seems to be a thing of past.
In the age of blackberry and i-pod,we seem to distant, far away from our being than at any other time.
It's time to look for those small things , which if not present in our life makes us empty from within. It's time to thank god , thank our parents, kiss our wives/husband,thank them for whatever times they have stood by us, without expecting anything in return.
Come on people, my dear friends pick up your paint brush and colour the canvas of your life with bright lovely colours filled with enlightenment, forgiveness for those who hurted for, love for our dear ones as no one knows what holds next............................
LOVE YOU ALL AND THANKS FOR HOLDING ON.....

ReplyDeleteAgreed. Life should be in good physical shape and well composed. It is possible if we take care of our personal as well our professional life in such a way that both of them will not become ‘mutually exclusive’. I am quoting here the wonderful speech given by Chetan Bhagat in Symbiosis:
ReplyDelete"Don't just have career or academic goals. Set goals to give you a balanced, successful life. I use the word balanced before successful. Balanced means 'ensuring your health, relationships, mental peace are all in good order'. There is no point of getting a promotion on the day of your breakup. There is no fun in driving a car if your back hurts. Shopping is not enjoyable if your mind is full of tensions.
Life is one of those races in nursery school where you have to run with a marble in a spoon kept in your mouth. If the marble falls, there is no point coming first. Same is with life where 'health and relationships' are the marble. Your striving is only worth it if there is harmony in your life. Else, you may achieve the success, but this spark, this feeling of being excited and alive, will start to die.
One thing about nurturing the spark - don't take life seriously. Life is not meant to be taken seriously, as we are really temporary here. We are like a pre-paid card with limited validity. If we are lucky, we may last another 50 years. And 50 years is just 2,500 weekends. Do we really need to get so worked up?
It's ok, bunk a few classes, scoring low in couple of papers, goof up a few interviews, take leave from work. Enjoy with your friends, fall in love, little fights with your loved Ones.
'We are people, not programmed devices'.
Don't be serious, be sincere."
Good going Monica...keep writing.
ReplyDeleteYou are saying so true Vishal bhaiya,i simply loved your reply to my blog.i wrote this blog , but in true sense you gave meaning to it.really life is something one should enjoy every passing minute. As there is no fun in that hard earned success when your parents/friends/wife/girlfriend are not there to pat your back and give you that jaadu ki jhappi...
ReplyDeletethanks a lot Mohit, u have always been like a true friend, always supported me.thanks for being such a good reader...
